Hello! My name is Benny Nguyen, I am 21 years old.
After my A-level in 2016, I started studying medical Engineering at the Otto-Von-Guericke University Magdeburg. I am studying medical Engineering because I want to improve human health and give doctors better help in surgeries and treatments.
I am mainly interested in regional politics. At school, I promoted the democratic process in the function of class, course and student spokespersons. As head of the Student Parliament, I was responsible for many projects, including the organization of working groups to improve our school community. In addition, I actively campaign against right-wing extremism and participate in political events, such as election campaigns or panel discussions. My biggest project was the organization of a panel discussion on the subject of inclusion with members of the Parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate, in which the START Foundation supported me effectively in the implementation.
In times of the gap between rich and poor, I want to set a signal. I would like to see a more open, inclusive society in which people are treated on an equal footing regardless of their background, age, gender, education, religion, social status or possible disabilities. These abuses are unacceptable for industrial nations like Germany or USA and should not be ignored.
